VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA–(Marketwired – July 6, 2016) – Advantage Lithium (the “Company” or “Advantage Lithium”) (TSX VENTURE:AAL) is pleased to announce that Doug Leishman, BSc. ARSM, has agreed to serve as Chairman of the newly-established Advisory Board. This appointment follows the Company’s announcement, on June 20th 2016, of the option to acquire an interest in five Nevada based lithium properties, as well as a name change to Advantage Lithium Corp. and a financing.

David Sidoo, Director and proposed President of Advantage Lithium, commented, “We are delighted that Mr. Leishman has agreed to join us, as Chairman of the Advisory Board, at such an exciting time for the Company. The recent announcement of our agreement to acquire interest in five prospective lithium projects is just the start of our goal to become a significant, international player in the sector. Mr. Leishman will be working closely with our technical advisor – the award-winning geologist, Ross McElroy, who has previously agreed to join the advisory board. Together, their experience will prove invaluable as we move forward with identifying, assessing and acquiring further opportunities in the Lithium space.”

Mr. Leishman is a graduate of the University of London, Imperial College, where he attended the Royal School of Mines and completed a degree in mining geology in 1981. Early in his career, Mr. Leishman served in positions of responsibility at Canadian Superior Exploration and Esso Minerals Canada and was senior mining analyst for Yorkton Securities Inc. from 1990 to 2000, covering junior exploration companies primarily focused on exploration in the Americas. From 2001 – 2005 he was the Director of Geology and Exploration for Endeavour Financial Ltd., a financial advisory firm focused on the mining industry. Terrane completed a feasibility study on its flagship Mt. Milligan copper gold project and in mid-2010 the company was sold to Thompson Creek Mines Ltd for more than $650 million. Thompson Creek subsequently built a $1.6 billion mine which is now operating successfully as one of Canada’s biggest mines in northern British Columbia.

Mr. Leishman has been a registered member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia since 1994 and a fellow of the Geological Association of Canada since 1985.
